I like the crime-scene tape, and although they don't really do body outlines anymore they are a classic image everyone gets.

I'd say to combine the elements by putting runes on the crime tape, maybe warding symbols or chakra centers along the body outline.

Maybe play with an evidence envelope/folder that says "crime scene photos" and above or below the words a pentacle or hexagram depending on what symbols you use for your magic system.

A toe tag with runic writing and cause of death as curse/hex/vampire bite/demon mauling, whatever fits for your world.

The classic closeup of a fingerprint that always brings to mind forensics and writing or something else magical/supernatural along the lines of the print.
